Andersen Consulting renamed Accenture

Andersen Consulting, world's leading management and technology consulting organisation will be known now Accenture.

Making a formal announcement of renaming of the company, at a press conference here this afternoon, Sid K Khanna, managing partner, Accenture, India and Middle East said that the process of renaming which was initially started nearly six months back now completed with the formal launch of the name.

Accenture, the name which spell out as 'accent on the future with aspiration to help others' will work as a mission to brand the new name hereafter, he said.

"The company is keen on coming out of an initial public offering by next summer," replying to a question Khanna said.

"Our vision is to become one of the world's leading companies, bringing innovations to improve the way the world works and lives," he said.

The company has tied up with Microsoft on the technology front and looking for the more alliances in the coming days, he said.
