JIST to offer world class solutions for auto industry

Jardine Matheson, the multinational services group headquartered in Hong Kong, has established a software company in India.

Jardine India Software Technologies Private Limited has been incorporated as a software development company and is slated to offer a wide range of software development and integration services, besides on-site consulting and IT enabled services.

Since the company starts with a high degree of domain expertise in the automobile industry, the initial focus will therefore be on this sector.

In its first year JIST shall carry on its business under four divisions:

1)Standard Products for the automobile industry,

2)Cutsomised ERP solutions,

3)E-commerce solutions, and

4)On site consulting & body shopping.

A fifth division for 'IT enabled services' is expected to kick off later.

The core management team of JIST is headed by K N Annan. The former head of Finance, IT & Quality for Concorde Motors Limited, a joint venture between the Jardine Motors and the Tatas.
