Mahajan leaves Sydney with Mehta's body; cremation on April 15

Union Minister for Information Technology Pramod Mahajan left on Friday for India, taking along with him the body of Nasscom president Dewang Mehta, who died in Sydney on Thursday.

Thirty eight-year-old Mehta was found dead in a hotel room in Sydney on Thursday. Police later said that he died of a heart attack.

IT lobbyist Mehta was in Sydney along with Mahajan, who was leading a high-powered business delegation to Australia.

The body of Dewang Mehta will be taken to his residence in Delhi and will be brought to Nasscom office at Chanakyapuri on Sunday 800 IST. After a prayer meeting at Talkatore Indoor Stadium, his funeral is scheduled to be held at Nizzamuddin crematorium on Sunday at 1030 IST.

Nasscom and TiE will also have a condolence prayer meeting in Bombay on Tuesday, April 17 between 1700 IST and 1900 IST.
