According to Mahajan, this authority will be known as Central Sales Tax Appellate Authority which would be headed by a chairman who would be a retired judge of the Supreme Court. It also approved amendments to the Delhi Rent (Amendment) Bill, 1997, including: (i) The rental limit for the purpose of applicability will be increased from Rs 3,500 to Rs 7500 per month; (ii) A pro-forma for rent agreement and its procedure will be prescribed in the rules; and (iii) Period given for enabling the legal heirs of deceased individual tenant of a non-residential premises for making alternative arrangements will be increased from the present three years to five years. The DA to central government employees is revised twice a year from January 1 and July 1, which is payable with the salaries for March and September, respectively. Each such increase is calculated on the basis of the percentage increase in 12-monthly average of All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (General) over the base index of 306.33. |
