Sawaal Dus Crore Ka: The Game Plan

NetScribes/Pooja Agarwal

Here's one to top Kaun Banega Crorepati. In Zee's Sawaal Dus Crore Ka (SDCK), you can go wrong as many as five times and still become a crorepati 10 times over. All you have to do is answer 10 questions out of 15 to win Rs 10 crore.

Star TV's KBC expects you to answer all 15 questions to win Rs 1 crore.

"The show will be aired only three days of the week and will definitely not collide with the KBC time band," say top sources at Zee.

To be hosted by versatile actor Anupam Kher and launched within 10 days, Sawaal Dus Crore Ka (SDCK) claims to have a more viewer-friendly format, where the viewers can also win huge amounts.

Each episode of SDCK will kick off with the anchor tossing a common question at 21 participants. The first one to hit the buzzer and give the correct answer moves into the next round. The same procedure will be repeated twice to get three participants for the second round. Irrespective of the final outcome, each participant in round two will take home a gold coin.

In round two, another buzzer round, a total of 10 questions would be asked and the one who gets four of these correct, winning Rs 1,000 in the process, will qualify for round three. A wrong answer and the person is out of the show.

Round three has 15 questions divided into five sets of three questions each. The participant has to answer two out of three questions in each set. With each correct answer, the prize money increases in multiples of 10.

To help him get there, there are three helplines: Pick the subject of your choice, bring a brain (or, get a friend) or get a clue from the anchor.

The audience will have a shot at the unanswered questions and win gold coins for correct answers.

And there's plenty in store for viewers as well. SDCK has tied up with a magazine called TV World for a promotional scheme, which will earn viewers up to Rs 5 lakh every episode.

The Rs 10-crore question now is, when will Sony Entertainment counter KBC and SDCK with a game show?
