KPL Intl takes 5% in industry portal

Indian firm KPL International Ltd, a part of the Kanoria chemicals group, has picked up a 5 per cent equity stake in Chemvalue.com, a chemicals industry portal, the firm's statement said on Monday.

KPL has the option to pick up a further five percent share in the portal in the next six months.

The statement did not provide any financial details.

Chemvalue.com, based in Hyderabad, has over 2,400 registered members and 2,500 listed business opportunities, the statement said.

"KPL will...support Chemvalue in developing relationships with the industry...leverage its (KPL's) overseas contacts to take Chemvalue global," the statement said.
