Hindustan Copper raises copper prices

Indian state-run firm Hindustan Copper said on Thursday that it had raised its copper selling prices by Rs 3,000 per tonne for the second half of August.

The revised prices for continuous cast rod (CC rod) and copper cathode are Rs 133,500 per tonne and Rs 125,500, respectively.

The price revision came into effect on August 16.

On Wednesday, private producers Sterlite Industries (India) Limited and Birla Copper raised their prices by Rs 3,000 per tonne.

Indian copper producers set their selling prices every fortnight depending on international market trends.
