Thirdware in pact with Sify, Citrix

Thirdware Solution Limited, an e-business solutions provider and alliance partner of QAD Inc, launched its application service provider (ASP) services on Wednesday in partnership with Satyam Infoway and Citrix Software India Limited.

ASPs are responsible for providing specific activities and expertise that go into managing the enterprise software applications of a business. ASPs are applicable for any sales, accounting, manufacturing, e-commerce or customer service-related businesses.

Citrix Systems is a global leader in application server software, and services that offer digital independence. QAD is a leading provider of e-business and enterprise solutions for manufacturing and distribution companies. Satyam Infoway is a subsidiary of Satyam Computers Private Limited.

Thirdware's applications will cater to areas such as Sales, finance, distribution, purchasing manufacturing, service and support management and B2B solutions. Director Pradeep E Erinjery said that Thirdware's ASP services will allow enterprises looking at outsourcing their manpower and IT requirements to avail of the benefits of enterprise resource management solutions.

Erinjery has extensive experience in the field of ERP solutions and has handled ERP implementations for companies like Ford India, Unilever Group in India, Anderson Consulting (Indonesia), Glaxo India, AT&T Network Systems (Indonesia), etc.

Thirdware claims to represent the next generation of hosted services that's fully built on integrated enterprise applications- ERP, customer relationship management and supply chain management, which enable organisations to quickly move into e-business.

Citrix Software India Limited will provide server-based computing software and Satyam Infoway will provide hosting services that include physical space for housing the hardware, server, power conditioning and support services.

Says Anil Menon, director (marketing), Citrix, "The combination will benefit customers by broadening application reach, speed, predictability and reducing cost".
