Taj photos: Breathtaking images of the world's greatest wonder!

We had asked you, dear readers, to send us the best photograph you've shot of the Taj Mahal and we've been inundated with responses.

To start out, we have this picture by Rangin Basu from Ghaziabad who shot the Taj Mahal at sundown from a Mehtab Baug on the other side of the Yamuna.

Rajesh Mannai confesses that the moment he entered the Taj, he felt 'I was entering heaven'.

The Taj, he adds, can never look bad in any pictures, something we cannot help but agree with him on.

After being turned away twice from the entrance thanks to VIPs visiting the Taj, Jibo finally got to see the marvellous piece of architecture in October 2009 and was floored by the architectural marvel.

Prasad Dixit writes in saying that he has several pictures of the Taj Mahal but loves this one in particular because it is partly hidden by the trees.

Next up is Nitin Sharma's photograph of the Taj Mahal viewed during sunset on the banks of River Yamuna.

Amitava Misra visited the Taj Mahal in the winter of 2012 not expecting to be overwhelmed till he saw it for himself. He writes: "I first saw this wonderful creation in the afternoon. It was an awesome and unforgettable experience sitting in front of the Taj in fading daylight."

Misra shares with us this picture he shot from his hotel during sunrise the next day.

Arun Shrivastava has visited the Taj Mahal five times in the last 50 years. However he remembers his first visit in 1965 the most when he was awestruck by the monument and kept visiting it as often as he could.

"I remember the words of President Bill Clinton after visiting Taj, He said there are two types of people in the world -- the first are those those who have seen the Taj Mahal and the second are those who have not seen it.

And now I too have joined the first category," he writes as he shares this picture shot during one of his more recent visits.

Farauq Malik shares with us this image he shot of the Taj Mahal. It was taken only earlier this year. "The Taj Mahal has always fascinated millions from its frontal majestic aura....but when looked from an unconventional view, it creates an intriguing feeling. That's what this one image intends to convey," he says.

Saurav Talukdar shares this photograph of the Taj Mahal taken from Agra Fort in 2007.

We end this edition with this photograph shot by Rajneesh Srivastava of one of the minarets taken from inside the main dome.

He writes: "When I clicked this photograph, the camera coincidentally caught a couple clicking photos. Taj indeed proves that love is eternal," he writes.
