Unusual monsoon pics: The crocodile cactus!

First up we received this interesting image from Subhendu Chakravarty, of a cactus plant with drops hanging off that seem to create the illusion of a crocodile's opened mouth with the teeth showing. He says, "This photograph was shot just after a spell of monsoon rain. It is the cactus growing on the boundary wall of my house."

Next we have this one from Darshan Yeram, who explains, "These are village folk going to work in their fields, shot from inside my car while I was driving to Bhahdardara."

Tony sent in this photograph, stating, "I had been to Waynad for a weekend trip this monsoon and the place was lush green. The numerous waterfalls contrasted with the greenery of the land and the blue of the skies to create a magical feel."

Mrinal Kumar of Bikaner in Rajasthan sent in this pretty picture, taken in Sattal-Nainital.

And finally, Manish Jain sent in this snapshot, saying, "I took this one of Powai Lake in Mumbai. That's the Mumbai rains for you!"
