A purple haze and raindrops

Next we have one from Anuj Sharma from Ambala Cantt, who says, "This photo was clicked by me during return from the Amarnathji Yatra near Baltal (Jammu and Kashmir). I was sitting in the front seat of the car and it happened to be raining. I clicked before the driver started using the wipers; the droplets are on the windscreen and the background is a mix of army personnel, yatris and ponywalas. Furthur back are the mountains."

Gathering clouds

Sai Prasad V e-mailed in this pic of some very threatening clouds indeed! "It was shot in my native Kerala," he explains. "Our home was ready to take on downpour. The location is Kannadi, in Palakkad."

Bug's eye view

This one is by Junaid Ansari from Kolkata, who says, "This view is of my terrace and has been shot from the angle of a bug on the staircase -- how it would see the rain."

Contemplating the weather

And finally, Kiran Puranik sent in this photograph, saying, "We were in Khandala, enjoying rains and fog. I captured this moment when my wife Gauri was deep in her thoughts and looking down into the valley."
