PIX: Colourful cocktails you can try this Holi

Try out the recipes for these colourful cocktails picked by Radisson Blu MBD Hotel, Noida

As part of the Holi special series, we shared 16 mouthwatering Holi recipes by Chef Pankaj Bhadouria. Now, try these colourful cocktails.

1. Paint me up

You will need

Gin: 60 ml
Lychee crush: 15 ml
Lime juice: 10 ml
Sugar syrup: 10 ml
Grenadine syrup: 10 drops
Soda to top-up

Method of preparation

Put lychee crush, gin, lime juice and sugar syrup in a shaker, shake it with crushed ice, pour the mixture into the glass, put soda and put the grenadine on top.

Garnish with a lime slice

Lychee is a good source of Vitamin C, potassium and phosphorous.

Glass used: Hurricane

Best time to drink: Afternoon time, but can be enjoyed anytime

Goes well with: Pasta, pizza and continental dishes

2. Green Gorgeous

You will need

Vodka: 45 ml
Midori: 15 ml
Musk melon chunks
Mint leaves: a sprig
Lime juice: 10 ml
Sprite to top up

Method of preparation

Muddle the muskmelon and the mint in a Collins glass, put vodka, midori and lime juice.

Put ice cubes and top up with sprite.

Garnish with a mint sprig.

Musk melon is a rich source of Vitamin A, B, C and minerals like sodium, potassium and magnesium, and has zero cholesterol.

Glass used: Collins

Best time to drink: Afternoon, especially during summer

Goes well with: Oriental/Indian spicy dishes

3. Orange Glacier

You will need

Vodka: 60 ml
Orange chunks: 10
Fresh orange juice: 60 ml
Coriander leaf: 1 sprig
Lime juice: 10 ml
Sprite to top-up

Method of preparation

Muddle the orange chunks and mint leaves in a Collins glass, add lime juice and the orange juice, put cracked ice and top up with sprite.

Garnish with an orange wheel.

Glass used: Collins

Best time to drink: Afternoon, especially in summer

Goes well with: Any north Indian food

4. Honey Lychee Exotica

You will need

Brandy: 60 ml
Lychee juice: 150 ml
Plain curd: 4 tbspoon
Fresh banana: 1 no
Honey: 15 ml
Grenadine syrup: 15 ml

Method of preparation

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend with ice.

Serve it in an old fashioned glass.

Glass used: Old fashioned

Best time to drink: Afternoon

Goes well with: Indian snacks, pizza and burgers
