Anupama Dayal's floral fantasies

Designer Anupama Dayal showcased the latest collection Joie from her label Anupamaa on Day Four of Lakme Fashion Week. Floral, subtly sensual and blooming, the theme of her collection was an "utopian valley of flowers in a smart city". Here's a first peek at the line.

Blue was the chief colour when it came to most of the garments, like this graphic silk dress, worn underneath a white self-patterned blouse.

Up and down

An asymmetrical floral is the mainstay of the coming season -- take note.

Making waves

Powdery and sporting a wave pattern, this cocktail sari is perfect for sultry nights of fanfare.

Demure damsel

Nicole Faria sports a relaxed shift, worn over a contrasting underskirt.

Flower power

Sharply contrasting shades come together on a soft silk number.

The butterfly effect

Go the feminine route in butterfly sleeves and an embroidered neckline, set off by an appilque tie belt.

Kaftan couture

Model Helen wears a gold bikini and wine-hued kaftan with thigh-high slit. Very sexy!

Geometric touch

The single bloom on a shocking pink skirt goes well with this geometric-printed fitted top.

Bright beauty

Slinky satin makes its presence felt, covered in places by an eclectic print.

The diminutive designer

Petite Anupama is wreathed in smiles as she takes to the ramp at the end of the show.
