Fashion Week: Pretty dresses still the 'in' thing

Anand Bushan showcased an autumn/winter collection on Day Three of the LFW despite the resortwear theme by a majority of the designers. Here's a look at 'Rust', inspired by the hues of fall -- foliage on tombstones, uniform stripes, antique wallpaper patterns and the like.

Here we see leafy red hues on a heavily textured jacket, worn over leggings and shorts.

Pleated appeal

Horizontal pleats adorn a purple-grey dress, embellished with dotted dry leaf motif.

Muffle up

A giant muffler hides half the model's face, as giant embroidered leaves make their way upward from the hemline.

Shades of mauve

While there is a break in the colours of this skirt and blouse, matching threadwork ensures they go together.

Shimmer 'n' shine

Bits of pink and sparkling detail catch the light on this grey cocktail.

Embossed elegance

Fuschia comes to the fore by way of this knee-length skirt, teamed with a sheer brown blouse.

Mud meets gold

Brown and gold come together in a classy combo on this coat dress.

Keeping warm

A thick pink and gold coat is clinched at the waist and worn over leggings to keep warm.

Coming to corsets

Sparkling, with textured shoulder pads, a corset moves into a silk skirt.

Walking the walk

Bushan walks the ramp in a rather snazzy shirt and jacket at the end of his showing.
