Irina Shayk cries after landing Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover
Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend wept with delight when she was revealed as the 2011 covergirl for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue.
Shayk cried tears of joy as the cover was revealed on The Late Show with David Letterman.
She was accompanied on the show by a group of other swimsuit models, but only one could nab the coveted spot.
Shayk was pictured laughing and wiping away her tears after the TV host made the shocking announcement.
"To be on the cover of Sports Illustrated is a dream come true," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"We Russians, you know, we know all the secrets, but I didn't know I was landing on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and it was so surprising to me. I was in shock; I was crying," she added.
Curvy Sofia Vergara was nick-named 'toothpick' as a child!

Speaking of heavenly bikini bodies, Columbian actress Sofia Vergara has revealed that she was once teased for her stick-thin figure.
The Modern Family actress -- who flaunts her curves on the latest cover of America's Shape magazine -- says her brothers even nick-named her 'toothpick' when she was growing up in Colombia.
"I was ridiculously skinny. They called me 'palillo', which means toothpick in Spanish," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
But she quickly lost her nickname when she became a teenager.
"I was still skinny, but suddenly I had these big boobs," Vergara said. "It was terrible! I used to tell my mother: 'I'm going to cut these off as soon as I turn 18'."
Contrary to that, now the actress says she loves being celebrated for her figure.
"To be called the sexiest woman in Hollywood, at my age? It's fantastic," Vergara, 38, enthused.
She added that she hates to work out, but forces herself to go through with it to keep her figure.
"Oh, I hate it! But I also know that at my age -- I'm almost 40! -- I have to do it to maintain my figure," Fox News quoted her as saying.
"When I can, I try to do Latin dancing for exercise because it's so much fun and I just love the music."
Vergara also reveals to Shape how she maintains her curves -- by eating cake every day and allowing herself to put on up to 5 lbs when she is on vacation.
She considers food one of life's greatest pleasures, and finds a way to indulge every day.
"If I could, I would have foie gras and eclairs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!" she exclaimed.
But her two favourites are cake and chocolate-covered strawberries.
"I love it. Vanilla cake, angel food cake, chocolate cake. For me and my son, buying cake at the grocery store is like buying milk. We always have it in the house."
Of the chocolate-covered strawberries, she says: "I insist to all of my friends that they're healthy."
"What? It's fruit with a little chocolate. It's hardly anything. The problem is when I eat half a dozen!" she added.
And when it comes to appearances, Vergara admits that she feels "naked" when she is out without wearing makeup.
"If I walk outside without lipstick, I feel naked," the actress explains.
When asked what her favourite body part was, she replied, "I'm sure men would tell you it's my boobs, but I like my eyes."
"They have a natural cat's-eye shape, so I try to play that up."
Crawford feels more confident of her bod at 45 than she did in her 20s

The supermodel, who is still a perfect 10, looked stunning in an Emilio Pucci dress with lace back panel, a Wolford body suit and a Pucci skin-tight mini-dress with Wolford leopard-print tights for a shoot in ultra-trendy US fashion magazine Futureclaw.
Cindy, who admits to trying Botox in the past, says she is open-minded about age prevention measures.
"When I was 30 I might have said, 'I'm going to age in a way that honours time and is completely natural' but I'm no longer so high-brow about it."
"I think I'm holding up pretty well," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne bare cleavage at pre-Grammys Gala

Younger women, meanwhile, are making the most of flaunting their toned figures.
Miley Cyrus and Kelly Osbourne were photographed wearing dresses that revealed most of their cleavage ahead of the Grammys this week.
Cyrus, 18, and Osbourne, 26, were attending the 2011 pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
While Cyrus' pink dress included a mesh window that showcased what appeared to be her bra-less chest, her Undercover co-star Osbourne wore a lace black dress with a sheer top that showed off her black bra.
And while the lower portion of Osbourne's dress was opaque, Cyrus' dress also showcased some mesh material around her thighs, though an opaque material down the centre kept her body from being on full display.
Cyrus sat with Osbourne and her mother, Sharon, at the party and posed for photographs with Ciara.
"Reunited and it feels so good I missed my Miley!!!!" the New York Daily News quoted Osbourne as tweeting.
Nicole Scherzinger's steamy striptease in new video

In more hottie news, Nicole Scherzinger sizzles in a new video for Don't Hold Your Breath, where she strips off in the back of a car, giving glimpses of her toned body.
The 32-year-old, who dates Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton, has seemingly run out on her boyfriend in the middle of the night. Wearing just a men's shirt, she sits in the back of a cab and strips off, changing into black vest and jeans.
Despite the raunchy video, the song is angst-ridden, reports the Daily Mail.
The raven-haired beauty is seen wandering, distraught, through an empty house and standing over an overflowing bathroom sink.
The bouncy pop song was originally recorded by Timbaland and Keri Hilson, and her version is so far receiving mixed reviews.
Gaga wears 'latex condom inspired outfit' to promote safe sex!

Lady Gaga has done it again! She wore a 'latex condom inspired outfit' on Good Morning America to promote 'safe sex'.
The pop star's fashion choices often come without explanations, but she offered a partly-bizarre, partly-innovative reason for her latest wacky outfit on GMA Thursday.
Dressed in a nude-colored latex ensemble, the singer said, "today was a latex condom inspired outfit because we had to talk about safe sex."
The outfit related directly to her work as a spokesperson for MAC's Viva Glam campaign, which advocates HIV/AIDS prevention.
During her interview, Gaga said she thinks her "little monsters" are supportive of her efforts.
"I know my fans very well and they think it's cool to be aware about sex, aware about the world and aware about things like HIV and AIDS and protecting themselves," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.
The songstress revealed that her mom taught her about safe sex at a young age.
In more Gaga fashion news, she caused her fashion designers to stay up all night preparing costumes for her Grammy performance.
The singer threw her design team into a panic in the run-up to her performance at the Grammy Awards -- as she scrapped all the costumes two days before the ceremony because she didn't like them.
Gaga played her recent single, Born This Way, live for the first time at the prizegiving. She admitted that her own sci-fi inspired look during the set and the nude-coloured outfits her dancers sported onstage were last minute decisions causing her fashion designers at Haus of Gaga to stay up all night preparing the costumes.
"I actually designed all the clothes for myself and the dancers, and it was two days before the performance, I changed everything because I didn't like the clothing," the Daily Star quoted her as saying in an interview.
"And I felt so bad because the Haus of Gaga was all red-eyed and up all night and I would be like, 'I hate it, we have to change everything!' And they would be like (squeaking), 'Okay, okay,'" she said.
But Gaga insisted she only changed her mind at short notice because she wanted everyone to look part of one big team to emphasise the meaning behind Born This Way.
She said, "You know, (I changed the outfits) because they looked like dancers in the outfits we had. And I'm so close with them, and Laurieann Gibson, my choreographer, everyone that's in the Haus of Gaga, all the creators... We're so close, everyone in the band, and I don't want them to feel like the band and dancers behind me. Because the performance of Born This Way is nothing without all of them, it's about togetherness."
Leona Lewis raises eyebrows with quirky dresses, 'boob job'

Not everyone can pull off eccentric outfits like Gaga, though. In the case of Leona Lewis, it's not just the quirky outfits that are attracting everyone's attention, but her apparent boob job too.
The 25-year-old singer appeared to be sporting a whole new figure as she arrived at a Grammys charity benefit, sparking more speculation that she has gone under the knife.
Her publicist told the Daily Mail that the rumours were 'total rubbish'.
Her facial features have also come under debate, over whether or not she has had plastic surgery on her nose, but the Bleeding Love singer has slammed the suggestions.
Lewis' bizarre outfits are making headlines too.
She has come over with a love for all things high-waisted and attended the Grammy Gifting event in a pair of stone coloured trousers and a pink blouse.
At the Second Annual Black Women in Music Event at the Playhouse in Los Angeles, she wore a self-designed high-waisted blue skirt and a sheer top with a bright yellow bow over her chest.
A few days before that, the singer stepped out in a bizarre lips top and a black high-waisted skirt.
The former X Factor winner has turned her hand to designing of late, according to her publicist, and also created her outfit for the Grammy Awards.
Diane Kruger poses topless for men's mag photoshoot
Image: Diane KrugerPhotographs: Cover of GQ Germany, March 2011
It's not just former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole who's made a seductive appearance on camera this week. German-born actress Diane Kruger has stripped off and used just a fur throw to cover up her modesty in a steamy photoshoot for men's magazine GQ.
Kruger, 34, appears nude save for a pair of furry boots and a carefully placed fur blanket, the Daily Mail reported.
In the photos, the Inglourious Basterds star looks completely at ease as she lounges on a bed wrapped only in the fur throw, with her hair tousled and looking fresh faced with barely-there makeup.
Kruger actually started her career as a high fashion model in her native Germany before moving to Paris when her career took off.
Jessica Simpson's fashion line set to make $ 1 billion this year!
Image: Jessica SimpsonPhotographs: Cover of New York Magazine, February 21-28, 2011
Jessica Simpson may not be doing too well in her music and acting careers, but her fashion line has never been better.
According to an article in New York Magazine that will hit shelves on February 21, the pop singer's fashion empire raked in 750 million dollars last year, and it's expected to push to a jaw-dropping 1 billion dollars in 2011 as she expands her collection.
If the sales do indeed hit the 1 billion mark, the range will become the first-ever celebrity fashion line to do so.
That means Simpson's volume of sales would rival fashion titan Michael Kors, reports the New York Daily News.
"I never thought I'd be some fashion mogul," said the 30-year-old, who will add a full ready-to-wear collection and a career separates line later this year.
Cheryl Cole guzzling carrot juice for glowing skin, long nails

Jessica may be America's sweetheart, but the UK's heart belongs to Cheryl Cole. And the latest on her is that in an attempt to give her skin a healthy glow, she has been drinking a lot of carrot juice lately.
Friends have claimed that Cole became addicted to the vegetable treat while on holiday in Cape Town's Mount Nelson Hotel with dancer pal Derek Hough, over the New Year.
"Cheryl told everyone she was addicted to carrot juice as it makes her skin glow and helps her nails stay long and strong. She'd start the day with two glasses, then order up to six glasses by the pool with a tray of smoked salmon," the Daily Star quoted a hotel worker as saying.
The Fight for This Love hit-maker has also cut down on fizzy drinks and been eating healthy homemade bread.
Beyonce emerges with bleach-blonde hair, fairer looking skin

Someone else who's made a noticeable bid to look different is singer Beyonce Knowles. She is said to have looked almost unrecognisable while shopping in Hollywood recently with her newly bleach-blonde hair and a fairer skin tone.
Beyonce, 29, whose skin looked much lighter than usual, was seen wearing a pair of 635 pounds jade suede Daffodile heels by Christian Louboutin.
An expert has claimed that, while the change in skin tone could be a trick of the light, it could also be the result of Knowles bleaching her skin.
"The most effective skin-lightening agents are hydroquinone and kojic acid, creams which patients apply to the skin," the Daily Mail quoted Dr Sunil Chopra, a consultant dermatologist at the London Dermatology Centre, as saying.
"The effects are temporary and work by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for the skin's pigment. Both are very popular. I see maybe three people every week who want this procedure."
"But it cannot be used over the whole body. It is very unlikely she has had her skin bleached in this way," he stated.
Janet Jackson reveals some female stars eat tissue to stay slim
Image: Janet JacksonPhotographs: Cover of FHM Magazine, October 2006
Really, it sometimes feels like celebs will stop at nothing in their efforts to look fantabulous. Janet Jackson has revealed that some stars eat tissue to stop hunger pangs -- because of the intense pressure on famous women to look good and stay slim.
In a candid interview with CNN's Piers Morgan, Jackson admitted famous females are falling victim to the pressure of looking perfect all the time due to constant scrutiny, and insists some of her peers push their body to the limits to maintain their figure.
"It's crazy, it's crazy. That's why I think a lot of the women today swing in the opposite direction. They're undereating," Contactmusic quoted her as telling the newsman.
"Some of the stories I hear... I'm not going to name names (but) this is the worst. Eating tissue, Kleenex, so it fills the stomach. So you're full. So you don't want another bite to eat and so that's what you eat," she added.
Emma Watson named Style Icon at Elle Style Awards

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has been named Style Icon at the Elle Style Awards at London's Great Connaught Rooms.
Watson, 20, wore a nude mini dress with daring cutaway sides to the bash, and was presented with the Style Icon gong by designer Vivienne Westwood.
The young star said she was overwhelmed to be called a "style icon" and tried not to focus on having her style emulated by young girls.
"It feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much. I try and block all that off and I just do what I love and just have fun with it," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"I've definitely been feeling the pressure a bit more recently but it's just fun for me," she stated.
Elle editor Lorraine Candy praised Watson for her individuality.
"She's got a very distinct individual look. We always say at Elle, 'It's not what you wear, it's the way you wear it', and she's got such spirit, Emma. I think that makes her stylish," she added.
However, even style icons can have their off days and Emma is no exception -- she recently suffered a wardrobe malfunction while going to a pre-Baftas party.
Watson was wearing a short navy blue silk dress with plunging neckline when the tape got loose and the 20-year-old actress, who is worth an estimated 19 million pounds, exposed more than she had intended, reports the Daily Mail.
Watson's daring costume is the latest sign that the star is keen to distance herself from her role as the uptight and nerdy trainee wizard Hermione Granger, which has turned her into a household name.
Rihanna sued by famed fashion photog, launches her own scent
Image: RihannaPhotographs: Russian Roulette album cover
LaChapelle, who has shot celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ and Vanity Fair, said "the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works," reports the Daily Mail.
Rihanna has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and dominated music charts in the US with singles such as Umbrella and What's my name.
The single S&M, however, has fizzled on the charts, and the video has been banned in some countries for its sexual content.
In the suit, the photographer said the singer had appropriated eight of his images into the video, such as a shot where she is shown in profile against a blue background with a piece of candy on her tongue.
LaChapelle said her video copied the "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colours, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting" of his work.
He is suing for unspecified damages.
A source at LaChapelle's studio told celebrity website Radar Online that initially fans thought the photographer had directed the video.
"Interns told us that fans were buzzing about the video and wanting to know if David had directed it. Then the phone in the office started ringing off the hook, everyone was like 'wow it's amazing -- it's the exact same,"' the source said.
On a more positive note, Rihanna has just launched her own perfume Reb'l Fleur.
The 22-year-old appeared in a sultry TV commercial surrounded by marabou feathers and sporting a matching pink dress, reports the Daily Star.
Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur, which comes in a stiletto-shaped bottle, is set to go on sale this month.
The scent is said to be "daring, sexy and truly memorable".

Victoria Beckham has got a new fan in bride-to-be Kate Middleton, and she is getting together a selection of dresses to send over to her.
Posh, 36, who is four-and-a-half months pregnant with her fourth child, revealed that a representative of the future princess had sent a request for some dresses to her studio.
The singer-turned-designer said at the preview of her autumn/winter 2011 line at New York Fashion Week that she would be sending a selection of items from her current spring/summer collection.
"Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection. It will be from my current spring/summer collection," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the Daily Telegraph.
"It's tremendously exciting and I would be honoured if she were to wear my designs. I admire her tremendously."
"She's a beautiful young girl, she has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully," she added.
It certainly looks like things are looking up for the erstwhile Posh Spice -- her fashion line has taken off and she and hubby David Beckham are all set to welcome baby number four.
Victoria has said that she is so satisfied with her life that she isn't scared about getting older.
"I feel really content personally and professionally. I'm not freaked out about getting older. I'm growing older with the most amazing man I've ever met -- with my soul mate. Life's great," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.
At 36 years old, Beckham says she's at peace with both her body and personal style.
"I'm not one of those people who can't eat carbs. I eat a lot. I do. I run four miles a day on the treadmill. I know that works for me, so I've kind of trained myself," the former Spice Girl said.
"For the first time, I feel like what you see is what you get. This is me: the more natural hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing," she added.
Jordan and Mrs Beckham lock horns on fashion ramp

Victoria better look out for competition in the fashion ring, though -- it's Jordan vs Posh Spice on the fashion ramp as the former launched a new clothing range this week.
The glamour girl strutted down the catwalk in a check pants suit from her Day 22 line at the Pure Spirit fashion show in London's Earls Court.
On the same day, Posh, 36, won praise for unveiling her latest collection at New York Fashion Week.
"I have never been accepted in the fashion world," the Daily Star quoted Price as saying.
"I thought: 'Stuff you lot, I'm going to bring out a fashion range anyway and if you don't like it, you don't like it.'"
Christina Hendricks to model Westwood jewellery
Image: Christina HendricksPhotographs: Cover of Capitol File, Fall 2010 issue
Mad Men star Christina Hendricks has been chosen as the latest spokesmodel for fashion icon Dame Vivienne Westwood.
The stunning beauty has flown to London to model the designer's new jewellery collection for an ad campaign and she admits her latest role is a dream come true.
"I had such a fun day trying on all Vivienne's new collection. She is my favourite designer," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Mail on Sunday.
"As a young girl I would cut out pictures of her dresses from magazines, although I was never able to afford them."
"Even now I only have one in my closet. The lovely thing now is that I can borrow them and they fit so well, unlike some designer clothes," the actress added.
Kate Moss 'wanted to be an airhostess'!
Image: Kate MossPhotographs: Longchamp ad campaign
Supermodel Kate Moss dreamt of becoming an airhostess as a kid, according to a childhood pal.
The catwalk queen, 37, claims that if she was not a supermodel she would be a trolley dolly, reports the Daily Star.
"Kate has always loved the glamour of flying," the pal said.
"But I'm sure she is happy to enjoy it from first class rather than pounding the aisles."
We're pretty sure she's in the right profession too! Kate's latest shoot for Longchamp has proved that there is indeed no better person to shill her style than the supermodel herself.
The '70s-style photos were taken by Alasdair McLellan in Morocco and mark Kate's eighth season as the face of the French luxury bag company, reports the Daily Mail.
Moss' design efforts have decreased in recent seasons, but when she is at it, there 's nothing stopping her.
Longchamp's artistic director, Sophie Delafontaine, says, "I don't think people imagine how involved Kate is or how much thought she gives the details. She's involved in every decision. "
The model is equally complimentary when she explains why she chose to work with Longchamp.
"I just really like them as people, " Kate said. "I find them lovely to work with."
"Longchamp is a family business, it's been going for more than 60 years, and I just love the whole feeling of it. "
The 'Faraway' Kate Moss for Longchamp spring/summer 2011 collection features 12 pieces divided into three special lines: 'Faraway Chic,' 'Faraway on the Road,' and 'Faraway Exotic'.
Stores shove LiLo's fashion line off their shelves
Image: Lindsay LohanPhotographs: Cover of Maxim Magazine, September 2010
Looks like another troubled week for Lindsay Lohan. Her fashion line 6126 promised to be very popular when it was launched in 2008, but it seems that stores and boutiques have now moved it off their shelves.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the stores had not carried the brand in awhile.
Kristi Kaylor, founder of the 6126 brand, is pushing a line of Lohan-designed handbags, but again, no word on where they can be found outside of the e-commerce site.
"Major department stores are not our business right now. We're looking for retail partners to represent our entire collection," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.
Last month, Lohan and Kaylor released sketches for a line of footwear to bring some attention back to the faltering brand.
The high heels, wedges and boots were "inspired by old Hollywood glamour (with) a modern edge" and would have "modern accents like hardware and mixed leathers," Kaylor said.
The fashion line itself was inspired by the actress' idol Marilyn Monroe -- 6126 represents her date of birth, June 1, 1926.
"Everybody wants to write a negative story about Lindsay right now, but the real story is that Lindsay is a very talented designer," she told WWD.
"The real story is that the brand is doing well. Sales have only increased."
Coleen Rooney launches her first fashion range for Littlewoods
Image: Coleen RooneyPhotographs: Littlewoods ad campaign
Let's hope Coleen Rooney has better luck than Lilo with her style venture.
Wayne Rooney's wife has launched her first ever fashion range, designed for Littlewoods.
Coleen, 24, even models the clothes herself and says that she hopes to make them available to all.
"I am often asked about the clothes I wear and my sense of style. By creating a range myself, I hope to make my favourite looks available to all," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"I have really enjoyed the process of designing my first collection," she added.
The 25-piece spring/summer range will include maxi dresses, shifts, sharp tailoring and prom styles.
