Innerwear giant Triumph showcased their latest sizzling line of women's intimates in Mumbai yesterday. Don't miss it!
Sexy, glamorous and practical -- it would be safe to say that lingerie brand Triumph covered all three aspects of lingerie at their annual showing in Mumbai on January 20.
With glitzy Bollywood-style sets that showed off plenty of glimmering pink and with contemporary item numbers like Sheila Ki Jawaani and Munni Badnaam Hui blaring in the background, models sashayed out in a playful mood, showcasing both tee-shirt bra and briefs sets in funky colours and Swarovski-embellished sensual two-pieces. So there was something for every girl and every occasion!
Triumph MD Thorsten Allenstein conceptualised the whole show, while credit for capturing the Bollywood-style vibe goes to choreographer Farah Khan, who ensured that both the audience and the rampwalkers had a gala time -- here's how it all went down!
Things were off to a flirty start with bright tulle ruffs and big retro hairdos like you see here to set off the bras.
Doing a Marilyn Monroe
With the help of strategically placed air-vents, the audience was given an eyeful when flimsy skirts were blown upward to reveal underwear in bright hues!
In tantalising twos
All the girls gamely took a turn at getting blown away by the artificial breeze, while the innerwear ranged from purple to coral and red.
Bright sight
Here we have a mix-and-match two-piece, accessorised with a flowery ruff at the hips and spotted silk neckscarf.
Playing it coy
Continuing with the theme, here is another naughty hottie in red and blue, complete with pearl bracelets and gloves.
Boogeying in a boa
Image: Boogeying in a boaThis PYT, sporting a feather boa and ruffled mini, broke into a boogey on the ramp.
Getting cheeky
For ladies who like to have a little fun with their inners, there were plenty of briefs and panties emblazoned with cheeky (pun intended!) catchwords across the back.
Shining bright
It was then time to switch gears to something more seductive -- out came the crystallised intimates, shimmering and shining like this black-silver combo.
Bootylicious beige
A model flourishes her cover-up as she steps out in beige and silver sweet nothings.
Tasteful twinkle
For those who like a little less bling, this lovely two-piece with its waved pattern is just the thing.
Shining star!
Then again, there's no harm in going the flamboyant route if you have the attitude to carry it off!
Lacey racey lady
What's lingerie without a little lace! Blue and white serves to remind us of this timeless favourite.
Punk princess
Sexy intimates are meant to make you feel like a princess -- and this drives the point home!
Bunny honey
Hmmm...Wonder how Playboy will feel about someone imitating their playmates' bunny costumes! But then who's going to wear those ears and tail off the catwalk anyway?
Mixing it all up
Triumph continues with the mix-and-match routine as well as the bowtie-rabbit theme.
Having a rollicking time
Two 'bunnies' team up -- one in a bra and the other in a sweet ribboned camisole.
Teddy bear dreams
What better way of driving home the point that their teddy suits are the best? We loved this satin-trimmed one -- and the stuffed toy too!
Flavour of the season
Pink certainly seems to be the flavour of the season if these are anything to go by!
Bridal couple!
The final segment saw bridal 'couples' take to the ramp to showcase trousseau treasures -- but in this case, the 'grooms' were as beautiful as the brides!
Lingerie for the 'groom'!
Those jackets and bowties aren't fooling anyone, but this model takes hers off just in case!
Black makes its first appearance
After all those spritely bras and briefs, the all-black set the 'bride' is wearing is a welcome change, wouldn't you say?
Take a bow!
Farah and Thorsten Allenstein step out to soak in the accolades for a truly memorable showing!
