Ace designers Shantanu and Nikhil showed their very fine collection called The Tourist at the penultimate show of on the final day of the Lakme Fashion Week. The line comprised both womenswear as well as one of the finest collections of menswear seen this season.

Culottes for men are so totally in, it's impossible to miss them and the designer duo's line was no exception.

Slowly but surely making a comeback amongst menswear is the double-breasted jacket with super-wide lapels.

Though some would say the more 'correct' way to wear it would involve leaving the lowermost button open.

Looking every bit the cute Parsi schoolboy heading towards his examination hall he must've been once, is model Freddy Daruwala.

Surelee Joseph keeps it simple in this classic black pencil skirt and totally kills it with that bag.

The vintage bandhgala paired with a pair of baggy trousers may look fantastic here but we can assure you the pants are most definitely not for everyone.

Give us a slim black tie, white shirt and a black suit any day and we'll lap it up. But the green, we think, takes it to a completely new level. No?

Also prominent on the runway are three-fourth trousers, almost as if harking back to the Raj Kapoor's Tramp look.

As we'd noted here androgynous silhouettes for women have been something of a trend on the runway this season. One of our favourite models, Alesia Raut shows up in a jumpsuit.

There have been plenty of men's hold-alls we've seen on the runway this season (and even more off it over the last few). But we are yet to see them trickle down to the mass market. Here's wishing they do!

Diva Dhawan walks the ramp in an off-shoulder cocktail dress with the leaf motif.

We are not entirely sure of our feelings for this one. The polka dot shirt, we get. But a suit? And the shoes to go with the suit? Umm... probably not.

The thing with the double-breasted jacket is it can make you look fatter than you are. And much as your stylist might tell you vertical lines make you look thin, this one must be worn with tremendous caution.

Finally, we have the sultry Bipasha Basu, fresh out of the newest horror flick Aatma looking hotter than ever in this plunging neckline.
