Three young designers with their distinct sensibilities showed their collections on Day One of the Lakme Fashion Week. Photographs by Uttam Ghosh
Day One. Show Three. Talented accessories designer Suhani Pittie and garment designers Debarun Mukherjee and Amalraj Sengupta stunned the audiences with their work.

Young and petite Suhani Pittie showed her accessories collection. Dances with the Earth featured stunning necklaces, chokes, cuffs and more.
First up is this broad haslee with circle motifs and a totem-inspired pendant. Circle earrings along with a knotted cord and metal hairband.

Sucheta Sharma sports an acrylic neckpiece with sun-moon patterns and ball balis in colours depictic harmony and nature.

Kavita Kharayat walks the ramp in concentric circles necklace teamed with acrylic and metal cuffs with leaves and a pair of chakra ear buttons and concentric circle earrings.

Next up is a silver-pleated necklace along with a yellow cord choker teamed with a pair of acrylic metal cuffs and leaves on the wrists and chakra and primeval patterned earrings.

Debarun Mukherjee introduced his pret line 'Be You' at the Lakme Fashion Week.
The designer used cotton and viscous weaved striped fabric in bright summer colours. Archana Kumar opened the show in a crepe sky blue ganjee top with circle prints teamed up with mini sequinned shorts.

Young Amalraj Sengupta returned to Lakme Fashion Week launching his bespoke line called Tailor. The line caters to both women and men.

The garments in his trademark androgynous style featured hand-stitched suits for women and men made from exclusive handloom custom-made fabrics like khaddar, silk, linen and cotton.

Sengupta who made his debut a few years ago as part of the Gen Next designers has been consistently pushing the envelope with his creations.
His last spring-summer creation featured garments made only in blacks and whites. (Click here to view his last year's collection!) This year he brings in some colour to his designs

Sengupta's latest collection seeks inspiration from the Mauri tribes of New Zealand, his textures and lines going back to the snake skins and tattoos of the tribe's warriors.
