According to D9 Conference Windows 8 demonstration, the new operating system is a reimagining of Windows from chip to interface. Your PC will turn to be a new kind of device after using Windows 8.
It completely scales from touch-only small screens to the large screens which may be with or without keyboard and mouse.
More to this, the Windows 8 is based on HTML5 and JavaScript, and hence it can be easily ported as a Metro style application.
It has been designed for 16:9 screen resolutions. Screens with minimum 1366 x 768 resolution can be able to display two Windows 8 applications in full screen, and 1024 x 768 screens will be able to display one Windows 8 application.
