Pick the best Android smartphone in the budget segment and, of course, somewhere or the other you might have to make a compromise.
What would you do if you had limited budget in hand and you wished to enjoy all the smartphone-like features? Thankfully there are enough smartphone models that boast of high end smartphone level features, but very few actually perform when it comes to real-world usage.
Amidst the crowded budget segment, getting the best Android phone is always a challenge because new models continue to pour in every month. Here we present a list of five smartphones that work fine for the budget segment.
Sony Xperia E
Price: Rs 9,999
Sony had announced the pocket-friendly Xperia E with 3.5 inch display last month in India. The display is made of scratch resistant glass and packs 320 x 480 pixel resolution offering about 165 pixel per inch pixel density. Unfortunately, the screen supports touch for up to two fingers only. Inside the 11 mm chassis, Sony has packed a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM722A mobile processor with 512 MB RAM. The phone offers only 2 GB on-board storage to the user.
So if you install too many apps and keep them on the phone's memory, it will become sluggish. At the rear there is a 3.15 megapixel camera without flash and there is no front facing camera. Packing a 1530 mAh battery, this smartphone is small and compact enough for basic apps such as for social networking. Sony Xperia was launched for Rs 9,999 and can be purchased at a best buy price of Rs 9,499 or lower.

This smartphone packs 512 MB RAM, 4 GB on-board storage, a memory card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS support. Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Xolo B700 offers a fluid experience.
