It can set alarm and note, make and answer a call, do web search, send a message, fix appointment and many other multiple tasks within seconds that too without any touch of yours. Simply give voice command to your droid using a prefix phrase, "Okay, Google Now" followed by your wish and it will obey your order instantly like a slave.

7. Two low-powered DSPs

To increase battery life and take off the load from the shoulders of the main processor, the Motorola Moto X has got two low-powered DSP (Digital Signal Processing), which are microprocessors in actual terms. One of these microprocessors will look after the Google Open Mic feature that will come into activation after listening to the "Okay, Google Now" phrase. The other one will work for the camera activation gesture and will keep a track of the handset's motion for displaying messages and information without unlocking the device.

On paper, the 4.7-inch Motorola Moto X seems to be the toughest competitor to the likes of HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Nokia Lumia 920, Sony Xperia Z, and BlackBerry Z10.

It will run on Android v.4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, which will get updated to the latest v.4.3 soon, as promised by Google.

The 10MP Clear Pixel (RGBC) primary camera with LED flash support clicks to obtain amazing images even at low light conditions, and to support video chats, a 2MP snapper is provided at the front. The smartphone will draw power from a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2GB RAM along with a quad-core Adreno 320 GPU.

A powerful 2,200mAh battery will keep the phone alive with a single charge for longer duration. With a mixed usage, the battery can withstand heavy load for up to 22 hours, claims the company.

The major threat to Samsung, which now, is the top manufacturer in the smartphone industry, will get real soon. Till then, keep your finger crossed!
