Celebrities remember their college days and share their favourite moments.
We possibly can never forget the day we stepped into college for the very first time and how it left us with a plethora of emotions.
While in school, we could not wait to get a feel of the much talked about "exciting" college life but when the D-day finally arrives, we see we can never be prepared enough. A new environment, new set of people college opens a whole new world in front of us.
This is that time of the year when colleges start and on that note, we got around asking some celebs about their first time in college. Here's what they had to say
Anusha Dandekar, VJ and actor
My college was quite far from my place and I remember it being one long, nerve-wracking drive the first day.
College has a very different atmosphere from school, everyone's more relaxed and chilled out. Once I got there, I had a really good time.
I don't really recall any special moments from college as I had barely spent time in college when I was offered MTV.
I think everyone should just do what they love. Enjoy your college days to the fullest as you don't get such days back!

'I had my first interaction with girls'

My first week in college was very interesting. I was a bit of a geek and coming from an all boys convent, college was the place where I had my first interaction with girls.
I made a lot of friends in the first week itself. I'm still in touch with most of them today.
The real essence of college life dawned on me when I realised that we could actually NOT attend class and just sit around doing our own thing!
I met my best friend there. So, that is something college gave me. My only advice for freshers would be don't take anyone's advice. You don't need it. Take life as it comes and have fun!

'I wasn't used to this kind of a freedom'

I was really excited on the first day. I was looking forward to it because I wanted to experience the freedom and independence college life entails.
Initially, I felt quite weird as unlike school, we weren't questioned in college and we were responsible for our own self.
As I was in boarding school, I wasn't used to this kind of a freedom. It took me a while to adjust to the liberating atmosphere.
Yes, college is way liberating but if you take that a bit too far, things might get messy for you in future. So, I think students shouldn't forget that.
Have a blast in college as that's the only time when you aren't responsible for anyone but yourself. College days were surely the best days of my life!

I had a fabulous time! I never went to class. I was in the basketball team and I just had a blast.
There are a lot of special moments but to name one, it would be the time when I got to rag the others in spite of being a fresher.
All this because I was in the college basketball team!
All those who are nervous or scared, I would say don't be!
You don't need to give in to any nonsense in college. Just keep your calm and don't succumb to people so easily!'I changed four colleges in five years'

I had a superb first week in college.
I've changed four colleges in five years so I was very used to going to new places and making new friends.
I'm still in touch with all my friends.
Talking about memories, there are a lot. Well, to name one, I witnessed ragging once. I'm glad I never got ragged!
'I got my first bike when I was in college'

College was a whole new different experience.
I remember being very excited about it. Everything about college from no uniforms to being able to bunk class it was pure fun!
College made me feel responsible. There was also a bit of ragging here and there which was also fun.
I got my first bike when I was in college. That is a fond memory close to my heart.
Youngsters shouldn't get carried away with the whole liberating feel college gives you.
Remember that education is very important and this is the time when you start planning your future seriously.'I got to choreograph and direct a fashion show'

I was really looking forward to college. Luckily, I had a friend who was my senior there. She got me introduced to her friends and I didn't even get ragged.
It's always nice to have someone watch your back when you are new somewhere.
Out of all the special moments in college, the one closest to my heart is when I got to choreograph and direct a fashion show in college. We put up a spectacular show and even though I lost my voice by the end of it, I had a blast!
My only advice to freshers would be work hard and play harder. These lovely times never come back so make the most of it.

'I don't remember attending lectures at all'

I hardly attended college as I was too busy playing tennis.
I was a national-level player and the only time I could make it to college was during exams.
All I remember of college is hanging out with my classmates in the canteen. I don't remember attending lectures at all.
