The annual India Today survey results for the best colleges in the country for 2011 were declared in July. More than 1500 colleges had participated in the survey which ranked institutions stream-wise offering courses in arts, science, commerce, engineering, medicine and law.

1. National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University, Hyderabad

Established in 1998, the NALSAR is a residential university and is known for its superlative teaching and education standards.

Established in 1987, the NLSIU became a residential university in 1991.
It offers an integrated 5-year BA-LLB course which is taught through lectures, discussions, case studies, moot courts and project work.
Besides the regular undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (LLM), it also offers research degrees (MPhil, PhD, LLD) and a number of distance education programmes.
The institute claims to have a large library and is known for its 100% placement record.

It was established in the year 1997.
The University launched its first academic programme in 1998.
They currently offer two legal programmes the BA, LLB (honours) which has 82 seats and the LLM programme under three streams general, human rights and law and science and technology.
The University is an active member of the Association of Indian Universities and works closely with the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, as well as the neighbouring National Judicial Academy.

4. Campus Law Centre, Delhi

Established in 1924, it began with a single LLB programme as a part-time course.
