In a frank interview the CEO of PepsiCo revealed that as a mother, she is riddled with guilt for not being able to be there for her daughters.
Do you empathise with her? How do you strike a work-life balance? Tell us!
She may be the CEO of PepsiCo but the day Indra Nooyi bagged the top job, she also received a rather rude if important lesson -- that at home she was still the daughter, the daughter-in-law, the mother.
At the Aspen Ideas Festival held recently in Colorado, USA, Nooyi famously told the audience that women simply couldn't have it all.
The 58-year-old, one of the most powerful CEOs in the world, said that she has often felt guilty as she tried to bring up her two daughters with her husband of 34 years.
She also spoke about coping with the guilt of not being there for her daughters as they grew up.
In the frank interview, Nooyi pointed out something that most working women would have realised too -- that a woman's 'biological clock and the career clock are in total conflict with each other'.
Are you a career woman too?
Do you, like Nooyi, feel the guilt of not being around for your kids?
How do you cope with it?
How do you strike a healthy balance between your professional and personal lives?
