Business Today in partnership with MDRA (external link) has released the results of the top 100 business schools in India. These are the top ten.

Leading magazine Business Today has released its annual survey of the country's top 100 business schools for the year 2013.

Organised in partnership with Marketing and Development Research Associates, the announcement comes just a week ahead of the commencement of the Common Admission Test -- a prerequisite for admission to the 13 IIMs and other leading business schools in the country.

Some of the parameters considered for ranking the schools include learning and living experience at the institute, selection process, placement performance and future orientation.

Besides the objective and perceptive survey findings, what makes the the list unique this year is that they have added the finding of an "experiential survey" of alumni to give an inside view of how market trends have affected the positioning of these schools.

213 B-schools participated in the survey, leading schools like the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), and IIM, Lucknow (IIM-L) chose to stay away from the rankings.

At the same time, institutes like the Indian School of Business or ISB, Hyderabad and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai were not considered for the rankings because each of them offer programmes that are of less than two years duration.
