| USP: | It was among the first institutions of higher learning set up during the British Raj. AMU offers more than 250 Courses in traditional and modern branch of Education. This is a premier Central University with several faculties and maintained institutions and draws students from all corners of the world, especially Africa, West Asia and South East Asia.There are 16 Halls of residence comprising 69 hostels largest in Asia. AMU is planning to set up five regional centres in the country which are Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), Murshidabad (West Bengal), Malappuram (Kerala) and Kishanganj (Bihar). Currently the University has almost thirty thousand students, and over two thousand faculty members with over eighty departments of study. |
| Did_you_attend_this_college: | 2005-2008, MCA. I can't never forget my days at AMU throughout my life. I give a lot of credit to AMU for where I am heading today.Three years went as if it was three months - Miss it terribly. Hostel life was awesome. |

His mode of class romm teachings & his notes are worth enough that you need not to touch the books. He support the students in their innovations. |
| Best_college: | Newly laid labs especially big Mechanicals labs. Sprwaling lush green campus with canteen at the corner most part of the college. This college offers a good campus placements oppurtunity & remaining its history in campus placements speaks. The college Techfest ENIGMA is one of the best techfest organized in the state where you one gets an oppurtunity to compete head to head with the students from IIT-Kanpur, MNNIT-Allahabad & IIIT-Allahabad & IIIT-Amethi. |

| Best_faculty: | Apart from Institute of Technology (which takes candidates through IIT JEE), Science faculty is really good. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology are center of advanced study as accredited by UGC. Just have a look at these departments and their faculties at www.bhu.ac.in to know their research and publications. |
| USP: | There might be lot of hype around basic science courses of DU colleges however, undergrad courses at BHU (central university)are one of the best. you can't compare university with any of the colleges. Unlike other universities, everything is within a walled campus(largest in Asia), over 16000 students of various streams reside at one campus. Being in a holy town like Varanasi, you would be away from all the unnecessary hype. Some of the things which other univs are still contempleting, BHU has already implemented it e.g. semester system. One catch is, it takes students based on tough entrance exam where over 65000 students appear against about 500 available seats. It has very strong alumni base spread across the globe. |

| Best_faculty: | Lots of good professors. Prof. Manindra Agarwal in particular is internationally renowned. Most of the professors have a very good grasp on their subjects. |
| USP: | 1. There is a very good learning atmosphere, and relatively less politics in the campus. This can be very stimulating for those who are interested in academics and very depressing for those who do not want to study. 2. Most of your colleagues are very bright (but several students, particularly from quotas, are not that bright) and helpful. 3. IIT Kanpur is renowned both within India and internationally. You get an instant acknowledgement/respect when you tell people that you are from IIT Kanpur |
| Did_you_attend_this_college: | 1999-2003 My experience was very good. For those who are very interested in girls, please not that this is one of the "dry" institutes. For those who are interested in building their foundations in Computer Sciences, this may be the best place to be. |
