Hyosung's stunning flagship bike makes its presence felt on Indian roads.
DSK Motowheels and Hyosong have launched the Aquila Pro in the Indian market. The Aquila name is not new to India and the Korean company had launched the baby Aquila, the 250cc cruiser in the early 2000s, when it had tied up with Kinetic.
The Aquila Pro is the flagship Hyosung bike in India and has been priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The styling of the Aquila Pro is spot on. The company has used chrome in the right doses and the Aquila looks the part. The modern elements in the styling blends well with the retro cues to give the Aquila a very desirable appearance.
This is one motorcycle which everybody will turn around to admire.

The Aquila Pro has an upright seating position with forward set pegs. The wide handle bar is not an hindrance for most riders and is comfortable to manoeuvre the bike, which doesn't feel heavy.
Overall quality is good although plastic quality could have been better in certain areas, like the switch gear.

Powering the Aquila Pro is a 650cc V-twin motor which churns out 74 BHP of power and 62.1 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox which shifts decently although the gearbox is not the smoothest.
Performance is very strong and a slight twist of the right hand is enough to make the Aquila leap forward with urgency. This engine has oodles of power but there are quite a few vibrations on the top end of the revv band.

Dynamics of the Aquila are very strong too. There is good grip from the tyres and cornering is impressive for a bike of this size and weight. Braking performance is very good too.
The Aquila thus offers much more than its price suggests. It is a motorcycle which plays the value card very well, making the latest Hyosung cruiser a very tempting alternative.
