Here, Shubham Shrivastav tells us how he found love on a popular social networking site.
Our love story dates back to the year 2006.
I was pursuing engineering from BIT-MESRA in Ranchi, Jharkhand and Soni was pursuing BA from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
We met on Orkut.
During those days, I was fond of writing and collecting shayaris which I would share among friends and common friends, particularly girls on Orkut.
Everyone liked and appreciated my shayaris.
However, Soni was the only girl who did not like and comment on my shayari.
We would regularly chat on Orkut and as time passed, we became friends.
A year passed by and I had not seen Soni’s photograph. I did not know she looked.
In 2007, she gave me her mobile number.
A few months later, on May 10, 2008, I expressed my love for her.
In return she said, "Yes, I love you too."
Since we had not met each other yet, I was sure that our love did not rely on physical appearances.
Through campus placement, in July 2008, I got a job in Delhi.
Two years later, I informed my family about our relationship.
No one was ready also because I had not seen the girl once in the last four years.
I made up my mind, quit my job and on March 3, 2010, went to Lucknow to meet my dream girl.
When I met her I was taken away by the beauty of our love.
We decided that we shall never stay apart and will turn the things in our way!
We got married on November 20, 2011.
We were blessed us with a baby boy on October 13, 2012.
I thank Almighty and everyone else who helped us in our journey.
