We invited you, dear readers, to share your love stories this Valentine's Day.
Here, Rediff reader Pritam tells us how he met his wife, Seema.
In the year 2007, I travelled from Dhanbad, Jharkhand, to Kolkata to pursue higher studies.
I used to attend coaching classes in the morning and had plenty of time in the afternoon to chat online.
I would use Rediff chat.
I knew I was not handsome.
In the chatroom, I was hoping to find someone who would love me for who I was -- not how I looked.
That’s how I met Seema.
We used to chat almost every day.
One day, when I did not find her online, I sent her an e-mail but she did not reply.
I thought she must have forgotten me.
In the year 2009, I got a job in Guwahati and relocated there.
I spent almost two years in Guwahati but I could never forget Seema.
I'd always send her an e-mail along with my mobile number.
Eventually she called me and said 'I love you'.
We never met each other but we shared a lot of things over the phone.
Seema hailed from the southern part of India and her family was settled in Bhilai, Madhya Pradesh.
Since I was from Jharkhand, our parents were not too happy with our relationship.
I met her in Bhilai and we decided to marry.
We somehow managed to convince our families and got married on November 21, 2011.
I always thank Rediff for helping me meet my life partner.
