Up next is this photograph of the Se La, the world's highest motorable high-altitude mountain pass. Located at an elevation of 13,700ft, the pass connects Tawang town to Tezpur and Guwahati. It is also the arterial road the links Tawang to the rest of the country.

Seen next is a classic example of Tibetan paintings on a small temple at the Dirang Valley. The valley itself is located between Bomdilla and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh at 4910 ft above sea level and is, among other things, known for its hot water springs.

Seen here is a bridge over the River Sangti near Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. Known for its picturesque valleys, the village is also a home for black-necked cranes that migrate here from Tibet.

The gate to Se La. While this pass does receive heavy snowfall during the winters, it is for most part open throughout the year unless of course there are landslides or the snow blocks the path.
