S Roy Biswas writes: "The Kye Monastery is situated near the sub-division headquarters of Kaza of Spiti sub-division of Lahul & Spiti District in Himachal Pradesh. The backdrop of this beautiful monastery is mesmerising. It is situated at a distance of 26 kms from Kaza."

Biswas writes: "The word 'Dhankar' means a fort in Tibetan and the panoramic view of the Dhankar monastery shows just why it was named so. Dhankar Monastery is situated on a spur of a mountain cliff overlooking the confluence of rivers Pin and Spiti."

Yet another one by S Roy Biswas, this time of clouds over Nako-Kinnaur! He writes: "It is the biggest village of the Hangrang Valley of Kinnaur bordering with Spiti. The village is located on a spur of the mountain and famous for its alpine lake, which goes by the same name."

The fifth of the set of photographs sent by S Roy Biswas is of the Sangla Valley, which he describes as 'a pristine destination surrounded by nature'.

"The picture was shot from the small village called Chitkul. The mountain river shot is called Baspa, which is a tributary of the mighty River Sutlej," he writes.

Here's the first of two pictures by Satyajit Saha. Seen here is the legendary Colosseum that stands at the centre of the city of Rome in Italy. Built of concrete and stone, it was the largest amphitheatre of the Roman Empire and is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture.

Saha's second photograph is this aerial view of the Vatican City form the central dome of the St Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's is a church in the Renaissance style located in Rome, west of the River Tiber which can be seen at the background. A clear sky gives a majestic view of the city.
