Narmadha Murugadoss: I am Narmadha Murugadoss and I am pursuing second year Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology and Plant biotechnology (Botany).
It is a 3-year UG degree. I want to study MScience in USA. I need your help for the following:
1. Suggest universities near Connecticut
2. Total expense to complete this degree
3. What are the entry test/exams to be written?
Collegepond : You can check out courses at University of Connecticut and Yale University in Plant Sciences, (though Yale will lead to a PhD).
Before pursuing a Masters, you need to determine your career objectives and how will a graduate degree meet those objectives.
The total expense of the degree will vary depending on whether it is a private or state university and whether you are planning to pursue a Masters or Phd.
In either case, you will be required to take the GRE and TOEFL exams.
prakash purswan: My name is Prakash and I want to clarify whether the masters level course done through distance education or correspondence is valid or not for CPA programme.
I have taken admission in MCom through open/corresponding course in IGNOU (Indira Gandhi national open university).
On the site I have read that corresponding course is not count for CPA (certified public accountant)
Also please tell me what is non regionally accredited university.
My point is doing MCom through correspondence or distance is valid or not for CPA eligibility.
It would be helpful for me if you guide or suggest..... Waiting for your reply.
Collegepond : In the US, the requirements to get certified vary depending on the particular state.
Some states may accept correspondence while others may not.
Therefore, it is advisable to pursue a full-time or part-time program to do your MCom as opposed to a correspondence course.
Aayush vijay: I got an offer from Charles Sturt University in Australia for MBA.
I just want to ask if that is a good university to pursue MBA from?
Collegepond : You should be considered with a return on investment.
Therefore, when evaluating a university, look at the career placement statistics.
If you are satisfied with the career placement statistics, consider attending the university.
Amaresh Chinnu: Sir, I completed my degree with 50 per cent in distance mode.
Now I want to join in MBA in Bschools or I want to study at abroad which one is better for me.
I am an average student and I was not perfect in English speaking and writing. Which is better for me?
Collegepond : It depends on your career objectives.
Before making this important decision, introspect and list down your 5-year career goal.
Once you have determined your goal, then determine which is the better option.
Abhishek Jain: Sir I completed engineering in 6 yrs and want to pursue MS, how much should I score in GRE to get decent college
