7 last-minute tips to crack the IIT-JEE Main 2014

Improving concentration and practising more tests should give you an edge.

The IIT-Joint Entrance Examination Main 2014 pencil and paper based exam will be held on April 6, 2014 and the computer based tests will follow on April 9, 11, 12 and 19, 2014.

With less than 48 hours left, this is just the right time to make the most of what you've learned and focus on your merits.

By this time, your basics and fundamentals must be clear; you must have done a lot of practice tests, solved JEE Main 2014 sample papers, and have just finished appearing for your Class XII board exams.

This is the time to build your strengths and aim for success!

Read on for some quick last minute tips to ace the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2014

1. Focus on your strengths

At this point of your JEE Main 2014 preparation, you should devote all your time revising what you already know.

Learning anything new now is a big NO.

Sharpen the topics that you are comfortable with and know well.

You have already studied and revised a lot by this time, which is your core strength now.

Try to get the best out of the chapters and topics in which you are good.

2. Practice, practice and more practice

You have just gone through your board examinations, in which you were required to write descriptive answers.

Since, JEE Main 2014 will comprise of MCQs, you should practice accordingly.

The transition from descriptive type answers to objective type has to be smooth, which will definitely be there if you have practised enough.

Along with revising the concepts, dedicate a large part of your time in practicing JEE Main 2014 sample papers and mock tests.

3. Prepare an inclusive timetable

Making a timetable to schedule your preparation is a must.

Your timetable should comprise everything -- revision, number of mock tests you intend to take and time for relaxation.
