TVS Jupiter: A scooter for guys!

TVS has launched a scooter which is aimed at male buyers and is priced at Rs 44,200.

The Jupiter has a lot in common with the Wego and takes many features from it.

TVS has offered a lot of features on the Jupiter including pass light switch, Econometer, under-seat mobile charger, etc. TVS offers the Jupiter scooter in four colours namely red, grey, white and matte black.

The TVS Jupiter is powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder engine which produces 8 BHP of power and 8 Nm of torque. The engine has been tweaked and has higher compression. 

The claimed mileage is 62 km/l which is indeed class leading. The fuel tank can hold 5.3-litres and the fuel filler is placed above the tail light for added convenience.

The TVS Jupiter comes with a low fuel warning indicator. It uses telescopic front forks and rear gas charged suspension. 

The South India-based automaker is betting big on the Jupiter to boost market share in the scooter segment. The company will launch a new variant of the Scooty (Zest) early next year.

The TVS Jupiter is priced at Rs 44,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and sales have started in the Northern part of India. 

TVS aims to sell 50,000 units of scooters every month by December.
