Have you experienced discrimination in your college or educational institution because of your caste? How did you cope with the incident? Did you break down, weep, or did you stand your ground and face the offenders with courage and grace? Speak up!

Earlier this month, Anil Kumar Meena, an MBBS student at New Delhi's prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), committed suicide because he could not cope with lectures in English. According to fellow students Anil who was a tribal from Rajasthan, tried to seek help from his teachers in AIIMS without much success

Cases of caste- and language-based discrimination in educational institutions are not unknown. Twenty student suicides have been reported in the last five years in India, that could be attributed to discrimination based on caste. Needless to say hundreds and thousands of others must have gone unnoticed, unreported.

If yours is one of these untold, unknown stories of discrimination, here's an opportunity to speak out!
