What: The Centre for North East Studies and Policy announces the CNES-Setu National Media Fellowship 2005, for journalists who wish to study issues related to Northeast India.
The fellowship is funded by Assamese professionals living in the United States.
Do you qualify?
~ You must be a full-time print journalist.
~ You must have a minimum work experience of five to ten years.
~ You could be from any part of the country.
~ You must have an interest in the Northeast.
Fellowship details
~ The fellowship carries an award of Rs 75,000.
~ This will span three months.
~ You will have to select a specific topic from a range of issues, like traditional governing institutions, coping with natural disasters, the Look East Policy as well as the impact of conflict on women.
Important dates
~ You must apply for the fellowship by February 28.
~ The fellowship will be announced on March 15.
