Wanted: Translators!

What: Delhi-based translators on a casual basis.

They will be needed to translate publicity material from English into Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, Punjabi and Urdu in a creative style

For: The Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

About DAVP

-DAVP is the government agency that handles the publicity for the various Ministries/ Departments via advertisements, posters, folders, brochures, booklets, hoardings, etc.

-Publicity material is published in English, Hindi and regional languages.

-The purpose of translation is not literal but to render an idea or message into another language.

-Publicity campaigns are time bound. The translation work must be completed within the stipulated time, often at short notice.

Remuneration: Will be be as per approved rates.

Basic qualification: Candidates should be at least graduates with sufficient experience in translation.
