What: A Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral work in Criminology and Police Science, from the Bureau of Police Research & Development.
~Candidates will be entitled to Rs 5,000 per month for the first two years.
~Candidates will get Rs 5,600 per month in the third year plus a contingency grant of Rs 5,000 per annum.
~Once registered for the PhD, your institution will be given a departmental assistance of Rs 3,000.
Are you eligible?
-You must hold a Master's degree or an equivalent grade with a minimum of 55 aggregate marks in any of the following subjects:
Criminology
Sociology
Social work
Psychology
Social anthropology
Public administration
Political science
Law
-You must be registered for a PhD programme with any recognised Indian University.
-You must be below 30 years preferably as on December 31.

~Certified copies of your High School Certificate.
~Copies of all degree, diploma or certificate obtained along with marksheets duly attested by a gazetted officer of the Central or State Government or by the Head of the Institution.
~Copies of published work, if any.
Your research topic could be in any of the following areas:
-Transparency in Police Recruitment
-Key Performance Indicators
-Police Public Interface
-Developing Models for specialised training and 'Centres of Excellence'
-Use of Information Technology in Police work.
