Masters programme in public health

What: National Institute of Communicable Diseases, Directorate General of Health Services, invites applications for admission to its two-year Master of Public Health (Field Epidemiology) programme.

The programme is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Are you eligible?

~ You must hold an MBBS degree from an institution recognised by the Medical Council of India.

~ Or, an M Sc in Biosciences/ allied subjects from a recognised university.

~ Or a B Tech in Biotechnology from a recognised university.

~ You must have a minimum overall aggregate of 60 percent in the qualifying examination.

~ You must be less than 28 years old as on July 31, 2006.

~ The age limit for in-service candidates is 45 years as on July 31, 2006.

Selection method

~ Selection will be on the basis of your performance in the entrance test.

Important dates

~ Please send in your completed application form before July 3.

~ The entrance test will be conducted on July 16.

How to apply

~ Obtain the application form and information bulletin from the office on payment of Rs 400 by demand draft, drawn in favour of Director, NICD, payable at Delhi between 10 am and 2 pm on all working days.

Note: The course is not recognised by the Medical Council of India.
