A recent report published by a leading media house has revealed that 57% of Indian parents were worried about the impact of screen time on children’s eyes.

Electronic gadgets like cellphones, television, laptops are becoming major instruments of addiction among children.

Alarmingly, the average age at which children start using screens has fallen over the past decade from 3 to 5 years to 12 to 18 months.

The addiction effect of cellphone is increasing among all age groups. At the same time, communication among human beings is almost nil or zero.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently published the report 'Guidelines on Physical Activity, Sedentary Behaviour and Sleep for Children Under Five Years of Age'.

The report says that screen time for children aged 2 to 4 should be limited to just about an hour each day and lesser the better.

Sedentary behaviour among children leads to obesity, aggression and insomnia among children.

According to vastu shastra there are various factors that contribute to gadget addiction and reduces communication and harmony among the members in family or an organisation:

1. Don't keep gadgets in the East or North East region of your house

Excessive involvement in cellphone or any such gadgets is basically to keep our minds off from activities that actually require one’s attention and purely to keep ourselves entertained.

There are chances that these could be caused due to vastu defects in East of North-East region.

There could be chances that these products are habitually kept in that region or must be having a booklet of photo image or something similar in this direction.

The best solution is to remove or stop keeping those gadgets in this direction. One should strictly avoid charging of these products in this direction.

The second best solution is to keep all those information booklets and/or photos of these gadgets in South of South- West region.

2. Find the root cause of depression

Often it is observed that youngsters get addicted to gadgets due to depression or repetitive failures.

In such cases let’s check, if there is any Vastu defect in West of North-West region.

West of North-West means presence of kitchen, entrance or master bed room.

Cuts or presence of any other colour except peach can be the root cause of depression or fear.

Replace it with any photo image or an object which can inspire, motivate or build confidence in your child.

Some users have shared that a photo frame of Lord Krishna in this region helps.

3. Have blue in the North region

One of the most dangerous or critical zone to develop addiction is North of North -West.

Basically it’s a zone that is responsible for developing sexual attractions. However if this zone is prominently exposed to devices physically or in the form of images, literature or photos etc…then it can result into horrifying attraction tendencies or addiction about the same.

Placing calming blue colour objects, iconic heroes of the individual’s choice (positive icons), some special crystals or spiritual yantras can definitely help to control these problems.

4. A family portrait in South West region

Having a full family portrait in South-West also helps to develop stability and better relationship among family members which will naturally help control addiction of gadgets.

5. Prayer room in North to East region

Presence of altar, prayer place or abode of God in North to East region helps to create positive energy and positive thoughts among the members staying or working in that premises.

Regular prayers, meditation and specific religious rituals definitely help to increase positive energy or in other words neutralise negative energies grossly.
