Six-time marathon runner adorns the cover of Women's Running, a US-based sports magazine.
A month ago, fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad became the first Olympian to wear the hijab on the arena.
Close on heels is six time marathon runner Rahaf Khatib, who is sending yet another strong message by posing proudly in a headscarf on the cover of Women's Running, a US-based sports magazine.
The 32-year-old sportswoman is a mother of three and has been running since 2012. She lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
According to the magazine cover, Khatib's story is part of the magazine's special series #LikeAGirl which features '20 incredible stories of women who are changing the game'.
Her Instagram page runlikeahijabi is full of inspiring posts chronicling her athletic journey. On Sunday, September 25, she finished the Berlin Marathon.
