The lingerie giant has come under fire for apparently copying designs of an Australian bikini brand.
You've heard of Victoria's Secret.
Yup the lingerie giant that has us drooling every year with its annual fashion show!
Literally hundreds of stunning women have walked the runway for the brand, including Izabel Goulart (above)
And Adriana Lima
And Cara Delevingne
And Doutzen Kroes...
Well you get the point
So can imagine why we were astonished to learn that this lingerie giant had apparently ripped off designs from Tirangl, the Australian cult swimwear brand.
You read that one right: Victoria's Secret has come under fire after its new design apparently looks like a rip off of Australian cult swimwear brand Triangl.
So let's see.
Here's the Victoria's Secret design:
And this is the Triangl design.
Now, Triangl isn't half as big or old as VS.
It launched in Australia in 2012 but its signature colour-blocked swimsuits have earned several fans including singers Beyonce and Ellie Goulding and model Kendall Jenner.
Let's take a look at the two designs again
This is from Tirangl:
And this one's from Victoria's Secret:
Needless to say, the folks on Twitter spotted the similarities too.
Some were just pretty straightforward in their accusations:
Others took a swipe at VS
And some were plain sarcastic
Triangl, which was founded in 2012, has gained international recognition over the past few years and now boasts global retail points and a celebrity fanbase.
The designs flaunt bold sporty aesthetic, made from neoprene with contrast stitch detailing.
While Victoria's Secret's designs are priced at around the 40 pounds, Triangl's are a bit expensive at around 60 pounds.
So which one would you want?
Triangl?
Or Victoria's Secret?
