India's top designers weave their magic

The fashion show showcased the rich, cultural heritage of Banaras.  

Top 12 Indian fashion designers showcased their creations at the Weaves of Banaras Show for Make in India Week.

The show was an ode to the skilled weavers of Banaras.

Indian designers including JJ Valaya, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Namrata Joshipura, Abraham & Thakore, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna and Anita Dogre -- among others -- presented their collections.

Here are some of the best looks from the show -- the spotlight was on the Banarasi weaves.

The designer presented his own interpretation of Banarasi weaves through these resplendent outfits.

Recycling fashion got a whole new meaning as Delhi-based designers Abraham & Thakore worked their magic with these brocade skirts made of jute.

Rajesh Pratap Singh gave a modern twist to the Banarasi theme with jackets and skirts paired with sunglasses.
