Recipe: How to make Aloo Pohe Vade

When you have surprise visitors at home, it's always a challenge to cook up an interesting recipe.

For those looking for help, here's a recipe of Aloo Pohe Vade that is sure to impress every one.

Aloo Pohe Vade

Ingredients

  • 1 cup thick poha
  • 2 big boiled potatoes
  • 2 minced green chillies
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp lime juice

Method

  • Soak poha for five minutes in water.
  • Strain and drain well for 30 minutes. If you're using thin poha, soak for lesser time.
  • Smash and mix all ingredients together.
  • Make small balls from the mould.
  • Heat an appam maker mould and put one drop oil in each pit.
  • Place one ball of mould in each pit.
  • Cover and cook on low flame for upto five minutes.
  • Turn over when the colour begins to change.
  • Leave the lid open and let it cook till it turns golden brown.
