When you have surprise visitors at home, it's always a challenge to cook up an interesting recipe.
For those looking for help, here's a recipe of Aloo Pohe Vade that is sure to impress every one.
Ingredients
- 1 cup thick poha
- 2 big boiled potatoes
- 2 minced green chillies
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 to 1 tsp lime juice
Method
- Soak poha for five minutes in water.
- Strain and drain well for 30 minutes. If you're using thin poha, soak for lesser time.
- Smash and mix all ingredients together.
- Make small balls from the mould.
- Heat an appam maker mould and put one drop oil in each pit.
- Place one ball of mould in each pit.
- Cover and cook on low flame for upto five minutes.
- Turn over when the colour begins to change.
- Leave the lid open and let it cook till it turns golden brown.
