Today, Reshma shares with us this recipe for Dragon Chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm boneless chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 whole dry red chilli
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bunch spring onion (bulb and the leaves chopped separately)
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 1 bell pepper (optional)
  • Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp cashews, broken into small pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • 1 cube cheese, grated

Method:

  • Cut the chicken into long strips. Wash well.
  • Marinate it in 1/2 tbsp soya sauce, 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste to the bowl and all of the pepper, egg, maida and corn flour in a bowl for 3 to 4 hours
  • Deep fry the chicken pieces (It takes approximately ten minutes for each lot of chicken to be fried completely.)
  • In another pan to 3 tbsp oil, add cashews, 2 whole red chillis and let them splutter and then saute the capsicum, onions and bell peppers.
  • Add the remaining soya sauce, chilli sauce, ginger garlic paste and salt as well as the tomato ketchup and sugar.
  • Let the contents simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Saute the fried chicken pieces for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with spring onion and fresh coriander leaves.
