Today, Reshma shares with us this recipe for Dragon Chicken.
Ingredients:
- 500 gm boneless chicken breast
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup maida
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 whole dry red chilli
- 1 egg
- 1 bunch spring onion (bulb and the leaves chopped separately)
- 1 green capsicum
- 1 bell pepper (optional)
- Coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp cashews, broken into small pieces
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- 1 cube cheese, grated
Method:
- Cut the chicken into long strips. Wash well.
- Marinate it in 1/2 tbsp soya sauce, 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste to the bowl and all of the pepper, egg, maida and corn flour in a bowl for 3 to 4 hours
- Deep fry the chicken pieces (It takes approximately ten minutes for each lot of chicken to be fried completely.)
- In another pan to 3 tbsp oil, add cashews, 2 whole red chillis and let them splutter and then saute the capsicum, onions and bell peppers.
- Add the remaining soya sauce, chilli sauce, ginger garlic paste and salt as well as the tomato ketchup and sugar.
- Let the contents simmer for 5 minutes.
- Saute the fried chicken pieces for about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with spring onion and fresh coriander leaves.
