Orange Beetroot Mint and Cinnamon Detox
Recipe by chef Tanuj Nayyar, executive chef, Jaypee Residency Manor, Mussoorie
Ingredients
- 450 gm fresh oranges
- 80 gm carrots
- 50 gm betroot
- 1 fresh lemon
- 2 sprigs fresh mint
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 20 gm fresh turmeric
- 20 gm fresh ginger
Method
For decoction
- Grate fresh ginger and fresh turmeric (you may also use powder)
- Boil in water along with cinnamon stick
- Reduce and keep aside.
- Allow it to cool down
For juice
- Wash carrot, beetroot and oranges
- Wash fresh mint leaves and keep aside
- Grind together to make a fresh juice of these ingredients
- Mix decoction and fresh juice together.
No need to add ice, salt or sugar.
Enjoy this drink at room temperature.
