Bajaj Auto has added a new affordable Pulsar variant to its lineup: the Pulsar 150 Classic.
The company, which has launched this motorcycle at an attractive price of Rs 67,437 (ex-showroom Mumbai), has smartly slotted the Pulsar 150 Classic between the standard Pulsar 150 Twin Disc and the Pulsar 135 LS.
It undercuts the normal Pulsar 150 by a whopping Rs 10,118, making it the second most affordable Pulsar after the Pulsar 135 LS.
For now, it has been launched in Maharashtra only but will soon be available across the country.
The Pulsar 150 Classic is based on the Pulsar 150 model, but with fewer features. It misses out on the fuel tank extensions, the split-seat, the laser body graphics and rear disc brake.
Currently, it is available in black only.
The Pulsar 150 Classic possesses the same engine as the standard Pulsar 150 and generates the same power and torque.
Power is produced by a 149.5cc single-cylinder, two-valve, twin-spark petrol engine which generates 14 PS@8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque@6,000 rpm. Power is transferred through a five-speed manual gear box.

The Pulsar Classic 150 has an anti-friction bush suspension in the front and five-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear.
The braking department is handled by a 240mm disc in the front and a 130mm drum at the rear.
Bajaj has made this motorcycle more accessible to small-city buyers by placing it in the 125cc segment price bracket.
In terms of price, it will be competing with the Hero Glamour FI, the Hero Achiever 150 and the Honda Shine SP.
