The launch date in India is yet unknown, but as all the flagship bikes are making way into India, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R too is expected to come sometime next year.
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2016 Ninja ZX-10R which will also make its way into India. The motorcycle does not have any major change in terms of appearance from its predecessor, however, gets changes inside. The upgrades now make it an even better performer.
The ZX-10R has a 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, inline-4, DOHC, 16-valve engine producing 200bhp of power and 113.5 Nm of torque which is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Following are the upgrades that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets:
The crankshaft is now lighter and with better coating to reduce frictional loss of power.
- A new gearbox housing
- New instrument cluster
- New brakes now see Brembo M50 monoblock calipers and a Brembo radial-action master cylinder
- The swingarm has been elongated, resulting in a longer wheelbase
- It gets new Showa Balance Free Fork with an external damping valve chamber
- New electronics with Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) system now having five modes of operation
- New improved windscreen for better aerodynamics
