Toni Ann Singh, 23, from Jamaica was crowned the 69th Miss World.

A psychology and women's studies graduate from Florida State University, Toni is the fourth beauty queen from Jamaica to win the title.

'To that little girl in St Thomas, Jamaica and all the girls around the world -- please believe in yourself,' wrote the newly crowned Miss World 2019 on Instagram. 'Please know that you are worthy and capable of achieving your dreams. This crown is not mine but yours. You have a PURPOSE.'

India's Suman Rao didn't disappoint and was crowned second runner-up at the pageant.

Sharing a post on Instagram, the Indian beauty queen wrote: 'I believe being on the world stage and to be able to share my story is the best gift that I've received from God!

'I can't explain in words how grateful I am to my family, friends, my fans, @missindiaorg @missworld for believing in me and my capabilities!'

Dressed in a lovely Falguni Shane Peacock embellished silver gown, Suman cut an impressive figure on the Miss World stage during the finale.
