Bottom-Up Investing

This approach assumes that individual companies can do well even in an industry that is not performing very well.

The rationale is that if the company is fundamentally sound, over time it will definitely emerge as a winner. Irrespective of where the economy or industry moves in the short-term.

It is the opposite of the Top-Down approach.
